Auburn Opens Warming Shelter

A chilly forecast prompts the city of Auburn to open a cold weather shelter tonight.

Winter weather is here, so bundle up. The forecasters at weather.com predict a low of 30 degrees on Friday, even colder temperatures on Saturday with a low of 28 degrees. On Sunday, the expected low is 34 degrees.

In response to the chilly forecast this weekend, the city of Auburn will open an emergency cold weather shelter at the Les Grove Multipurpose Building. The shelter is located between the Auburn Library and the Senior Activity Center at 1020 Deals Way.

The shelter will be open from Friday, Nov. 18 through Sunday Nov. 20 from 9 p.m. to 8 a.m. Contact Debbie Christian at 253-334-4860 for more information.
