Auburn Opens Warming Shelter Tonight

A chilly forecast prompts the city of Auburn to open a cold weather shelter tonight.

Winter's not over, so bundle up. The forecasters at weather.com predict a low of 36 degrees tonight. By Friday evening, lows may drop near 31 degrees.

In response to tonight's chilly forecast, the city of Auburn will open an emergency cold weather shelter at the Les Grove Multipurpose Building. The shelter is located between the Auburn Library and the Senior Activity Center at 1020 Deals Way.

The shelter will be open from 9 tonight through 7 a.m. Wednesday. Contact Debbie Christian at 253-334-4860 for more information.
