A missed turn sent one woman to the hospital and shook up an elderly couple and their dog Monday evening.
Renton Fire and Emergency Services responded to a call for a two-car accident at 9:20 p.m. at the intersection of N.E. Park Drive and Lake Washington Boulevard North.
The collision required the 'jaws of life' to free the driver of a Nissan Leaf that was waiting at the stop light on Lake Washington Boulevard North, heading south toward Garden Avenue.
The driver of a Hyundai Elantra, headed east on N.E. Park Drive, attempted to turn on to Lake Washington Boulevard North but missed the turn and instead drove into the stationary Nissan Leaf.
The woman extricated from the Leaf was transported to the hopital. The extent of her injuries is unknown. The dog and couple in the Hyundai did not require medical attention. Both cars were towned from the scene.
