Teen Fatally Wounded In Early Morning Skyway Shooting

King County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a shooting in a Skyway apartment in the 13400 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Way early this morning and found a 19 year-old-man dead from an apparent gunshot wound to his chest.

The incident occurred around 12:30 this morning at an apartment in the 13400 block of Martin Luther King Jr Way. 

Deputies arrived around 12:30 a.m. and entered the apartment. They found the victim and at least four other adults in the apartment. Deputies said there were also four children ages 2-7 sleeping in the apartment.

A neighbor reported seeing two black men run from the building shortly after hearing the gun shot. 

It is unknown at this time what led up to the shooting, and what, if any, relationship there was between the victim and suspect(s). 

Detectives are interviewing witnesses and we will provide an update as information becomes available.
