The cyclist, a man in his 60s or 70s, was unconscious and unresponsive when emergency services personnel arrived, according to a police statement.

It appears that the man was riding across Logan Avenue mid-block, from east to west (in other words from the area of the Senior Center, toward the stadium) when the north-bound traveling SUV struck him. Police are still investigating; however it appears the SUV was driving within the speed limit, according to the statement.
