Renton Police: Body Found in Renton Might be Kathy Chou's

Renton Police investigators unearthed human remains near 124th Ave SE. Chou went missing a year ago and an ex boyfriend has been arrested and charged in the case.

Renton Police investigators discovered human remains Sunday they believe might be the body of missing teen Kathy Chou.

Police confirmed that searchers found the remains buried 300 yards south of the 18600 block of 124th Ave SE in Renton. The remains have been turned over to the King County Medical Examiner's Office.

Police say Ezekiel James Watkins, 22, killed the 19-year-old and, after confessing to the crime, led them to where he buried her body.

According to King 5, Watkins' roommate tipped investigators to the crime. The roommate -- who for a time suspected Watkins had something to do with Chou's disappearance -- turned Watkins in after a dispute.

An accomplice who reportedly helped bury the body may also face murder charges.
