Renton Police Seek Information On "Brutal" Texaco Robbery

Renton Police urge anyone with information to call (425) 430-7500, and refer to case 12-5092.

The Renton Police Department is seeking information about three men who robbed the Texaco convenience store at 10545 South Carr Road early this morning.

Friday morning’s robbery, which took place around 1 a.m. is being described as “brutal.”

After entering the store, one suspect brandished a gun, while the other suspects ordered the store clerk to open the cash register. Another employee in a back room was ordered to the ground. The suspect with the handgun kicked the clerk several times during the course of the robbery. The three suspects took the contents of the register, stole merchandise from the store and fled on foot.

The clerk immediately activated the alarm system, and Renton Police responded to the scene.

Neither victim was injured during the robbery, according to police.

The suspect descriptions are vague. All kept their faces covered with masks or bandanas, and one suspect simply concealed his identity by pulling a hooded sweatshirt tight around his face. Renton Police urge anyone with information to call (425) 430-7500, and refer to case 12-5092.
