Renton Police Seek Assistance in Locating Missing Woman

Renton resident Maria "Imelda" Villanueva, 49, was last seen during the evening of Saturday, March 16.

The Renton Police Department is seeking the assistance of the community in locating Maria “Imelda” Villanueva, a 49 year old woman who was last seen during the evening of Saturday, March 16. 

According to police, Villanueva walked out of the apartment she shares with family at Wasatch Hills Apartments at 510 Stevens Ave SW between 7:30 and 10 p.m. and has not been seen or heard from since. Police investigators have learned that Villanueva suffers from depression and is distraught over the recent death of a close relative. She has not been taking her medications prescribed for depression and other mental health issues.

Imelda Villanueva is described as an Asian female, 5-foot 4-inches tall, with a medium to heavy build. She has long brown-grey hair and brown eyes, and may be wearing brown boots. Imelda likes to walk around downtown Seattle and is familiar with the Metro bus system.  She does not have a history of walking away from home.
