Renton Police Seek Assistance in Locating Missing Man

Sam Humphrey, 74, was last seen July 8 at about 5 p.m.

The Renton Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating Sam Humphrey, a 74-year-old man who was last seen on Sunday July 8.  Sam left his residential care facility at 71 SW Victoria Avenue in Renton at about 5 p.m. on Sunday and has not returned home.

Sam Humphrey is described as a white male, 5’10” and weighing 190 pounds.  He has grey hair and blue eyes, and was last seen wearing a heavy white sweatshirt (despite the high temperature).  Although he is wearing glasses in the attached photo, he was not wearing them at the time he left home.  He is familiar with Renton and will often walk to downtown Renton businesses.  Friends and police are concerned that Sam may have suffered a medical problem or been the victim of a crime, since he has always returned home at night prior to July 8.  Sam does not suffer from dementia but has suffered strokes in the past.
