UPDATE: Developmentally Disabled Man Found, Reunited With Family

Marcel Davis Jr., 20, has been reunited with his family.

The Renton Police Department reported on Wednesday afternoon that Marcel Davis, Jr. was found at approximately 2 p.m. near the Orion Center in Seattle on June 13. He is fine, and has been reunited with his family.

The Renton Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating Marcel Davis Jr., a 20-year-old developmentally disabled man who was last seen on Wednesday, June 6.

Marcel Davis Jr. is described as a light-skinned black man, 6-feet-2-inches and weighing about 220 pounds.  He has ver short or shaved curly light-brown hair, brown eyes, and a short beard.  He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a cream colored coat, running shoes, and carrying a brown backpack.  Marcel has the mental capacity of a 14-year-old boy, and has had very little contact with anyone outside of the group home in Spokane where he has lived for the past six years.

Marcel has relatives in the Seattle area, and left the 2100 block of S.W. Sunset Boulevard in Renton on Wednesday with his backpack and a change of clothes.  Marcel does not have a cell phone, cash, or other means of obtaining food and shelter, and does not know how to navigate the world without assistance.
