Renton Man Injured in Head-On Collision on State Route 169

Washington State Patrol detectives say drugs or alcohol were involved and a Snoqualmie man driving the other vehicle was arrested for vehicular assault.

A Renton man was injured following a head-on collision on State Route 169 Saturday night, a Washington State Patrol memo said Sunday.

The 19-year-old driver was headed northbound on SR 169 at about 10:50 p.m. when a southbound vehicle driven by a 41-year-old Snoqualmie man crossed the center line at 186th (milepost 16) and struck him head-on.

Detectives were investigating the cause of the accident though indicated drugs or alcohol was involved. The Snoqualmie man, who also sustained injuries, was booked at the King County Jail for vehicular assault.

The Renton man was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle for his injuries.
