Renton Firefighters Collect Food For Salvation Army

Donations may be dropped off any of Renton's six fire stations.

The Renton Firefighters Union will continue its longstanding holiday food drive tradition for a 25th year. Despite a decrease in donations over the last few seasons, the Union decided to continue its program.

Last year the Union collected one thousand pounds of food, which they delivered to the Renton Salvation Army via the Firefighters Union Antique, 1940s-era fire engine. In addition to the food donation, Renton Firefighters presented a check for $1,000 to the Renton Rotary Salvation Army Food Bank.
