Police Seek Help in Identifying Robbery Suspect

The King County Sheriff's Office is asking the public for help in identifying a man believed to have robbed a Key Bank in Newcastle on Jan. 16 of this year and most recently the Sterling Savings Bank in Burien on June 8.

According to a press release, these are “take-over” robberies where the suspect is not afraid to control both customers and employees. The suspect is escalating in violence.  He fired a gun at one branch and struck a bank teller with his fist in another.

The suspect is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information is encouraged to call the King County Sheriff’s Office, the Seattle Police Department or the FBI. Crime Stoppers is also offering a reward. All investigators are part of the Safe Streets Task Force.
