The prognosis of a 69-year-old Olympia woman is unknown following a one-car crash Monday near the Black Rover Riparian Forest.

Police responded to a 9-1-1 call from a witness who saw a 2008 Mercedes careen off the road shortly after 3:15 p.m. Investigators determined that the car was headed northbound in the 660 block of Oakesdale Avenue S.W. when the driver swerved across all lanes of traffic, jumped the curb, over the sidewalk, through a patch of lawn and into two trees.

The Olympia woman was reportedly the only person in the car during the accident and was transported to Harborview Medical Center with serious injuries, according to officials.
