New Year’s Eve Shooting Victim In Stable Condition

The Renton Police Department continues to investigate the shooting.

A 27-year-old man who was sustained life threatening injuries during a New Year’s Eve shooting in Renton is now in stable condition in the intensive care unit at Harborview Medical Center, according to the Renton Police Department.

While the man is now in stable condition, he’s unable to provide any additional information to police at this time

“The case has been assigned to our Investigations (Detectives) Division and the investigation will continue,” Terri Vickers wrote in an email to Renton Patch.

The shooting occurred just before 8 p.m. on December 31 at the Summerhill Apartment complex at 10415 SE 174th St.

After police located the shooting victim — who had called 9-1-1 to report the incident — he told police that he had been robbed, and described the suspects as two black males.

Patch originally reported that the victim had been shot in the abdomen; however, he may also have been shot in the arm.

Police do not yet have a description of the property that was allegedly stolen from the victim before he was shot. A K9 unit was called to the scene, but no suspects were located.
