New Year's Eve Shooting Leaves Man With Life-Threatening Injuries

Police continue to investigate the shooting.

A man in his late 20s called 9-1-1 Monday at 7:48 p.m. to report he’d been shot in the abdomen.

Renton police, Renton fire, and King County Medic One responded to the Summerhill Apartment Complex at 10415 SE 174th St., where fire units stood by until police were able to secure the scene and locate the victim.  

Police located the victim outside the apartment complex, lying in the grass at 7:58 p.m.

Police have not released the name of the victim, who received what appeared to be a single gunshot wound to his abdomen. He was treated at the scene by firefighters and paramedics and immediately transported to Harborview Medical Center in life threatening condition, according to fire officials.

Renton Police continued to investigate the incident as Renton fire and King County Medic One cleared the scene.
