A 24-year-old Renton man on a motorcycle was transported to Harborview Medical Center after being pinned underneath another vehicle in a three-vehicle accident on Interstate 405 Wednesday.
The incident was reported at 3:12 p.m. on northbound I-405 just south of Sunset Blvd. N.E., according to a Washington State Patrol memo.
The motorcyclist struck a vehicle while attempting to change lanes. The impact caused him to land in the path of the adjacent lane where he was struck by a second vehicle and then trapped underneath.
The drivers of the other two vehicles involved were not injured.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
