Medical Examiner Names Victim In July 27 Shooting, Car Fire

Ramal Sharod Richardson died of multiple gunshot wounds. The King County Medical Examiner ruled his death a homicide.

The King County Medical Examiner’s office identified the 26-year-old victim in Friday’s shooting and subsequent car fire as Ramal Sharod Richardson.

Richardson died of multiple gun shot wounds, according to the Medical Examiner, who ruled the suspicious death a homicide.

The Renton Police Department continues to investigate the shooting, which occurred near Crestview Apartment in the 300 block of SW Sunset Boulevard just before 1 a.m.

Richardson was also the victim of a May 17 shooting in the 200 block of Southwest 7th  Street. Police have no suspects and made no arrests in the May shooting because Richardson was uncooperative, said Detective Onishi.

A second shooting happened near the Crestview Apartment complex less than two days later during a vigil for Richardson.

This time the shooting victim — a 23-year-old Las Vegas man — survived the gunshot wounds. He is expected to recover.
