Man Accused Of Pushing Girlfriend Into Traffic Pleads “Not Guilty”

Frederick Colvin will next appear in court for a case setting hearing, scheduled for December 11.

Frederick Colvin entered a “not guilty” plea Tuesday at his arraignment inside Courtroom 1201 of the King County Courthouse.

Colvin is charged with one count of Assault in the First Degree-Domestic Violence for allegedly shoving his girlfriend into oncoming traffic as the couple walked along Martin Luther King Jr. Way, near the intersection with 129th Street on October 29. He is also charged with reckless endagerment for creating an unsafe situation for drivers, who tried to avoid striking the woman as she fell into rush hour traffic.

He initially fled the scene and was later arrested on November 2.

Police determined that woman was struck by at least one vehicle. She was seriously hurt by the impact, but is now recuperating from her injuries. Colvin continues to be held on $1 million bail. 

Colvin will next appear in court for a case setting hearing, scheduled for December 11.
