Kathy Chou's Death Ruled a Homicide
The King County Medical Examiner's office has confirmed the remains discovered are those of Kathy Chou.
The King County Medical Examiner's Office confirmed Tuesday what Renton Police Department detectives . The human remains found over the weekend buried in a field in Renton were those of former Lindbergh High School student Kathy Min Chou.
The medical examiner ruled the 19-year-old’s death a homicide and said she died by “sharp force injury of the neck and torso.”
A 22-year-old Renton man, Ezekiel Watkins, has been charged with first-degree murder and is set to be arraigned July 25 at the King County Regional Justice Center.

Searchers found Chou’s remains 300 yards south of the 18600 block of 124th Avenue Southeast after Watkins reportedly led them to the area.
According to seattlepi.com, Watkins told investigators that he had thought about killing Chou for several days because she had been causing trouble with his new girlfriend. (Click here for details on the charges.)
