Jarod Lane's Case Setting Hearing Continued To October 8

Lane is accused of killing his ex-girlfriend Jessica Scholl in her home on May 25, then setting the house on fire before fleeing to Oklahoma.

Jarod Thomas Lane, 19, returned to King County Superior Court in Seattle on Monday, August 13 for a case setting hearing.

As predicted by a King County Prosecutor's Office spokesperson, no new developments were presented in the case and the judge granted a continuance.

The new date for Lane's case setting hearing is October 8 at 1 p.m. in courtroom 1201 at the King County Courthouse.

Lane was  on May 28; extradited to Washington state; and booked into the King County Jail with bail set at $2 million.

A spokesperson for the King County Prosecutor's Office says another continuance is expected, though, with no new developments.
