Fire That Damaged Renton Church Ruled Accidental
A fire was reported at the Community of Christ Church Tuesday afternoon.
A fire Tuesday afternoon that damaged a Renton Highlands church was accidental.
Renton Fire Chief Mark Peterson said Tuesday night that a worker was cutting apart a boiler on the side of Community of Christ Church when it caused some sparks to fly and land on some juniper bushes, which then ignited.
The Renton Reporter reports the fire started at about 2:45 p.m. and the building also houses Highlands Preschool. No injuries were reported.
