Ezekiel Watkins Pleads 'Not Guilty' For Alleged Murder Of Kathy Chou

Watkins was arraigned this morning at the King County Courthouse.

Ezekiel Watkins, a 22-year-old Renton man , pleaded not guilty to the alleged murder of Kathy Chou before Judge Theresa B. Doyle at the King County Courthouse today.

Chou was last seen in April 2010, and her  buried 300 yards south of the 18600 block of 124th Ave SE in Renton.

Watkins is being represented by David Seawell, a Kent laywer, who told the judge that he and his client only reached discovery yesterday, Monday, July 25.

Watkins' lawyer motioned to bar the press from photographing his client below the shoulders because of a chain restraint around Watkins' waist; however, Judge Doyle denied his request.

Patch will post more details on the case as they become available.

Wait, didn't he confess to police that he did it? Why in the world would he think he is "not guilty"?!?

you have to understand the court process to get that. If you're ever charged with a crime you plead not guilty at your arraignment - unless you're hoping for the worst punishment you can get.
