Ezekiel Watkins Arraignment For Kathy Chou Murder Scheduled For This Morning

Watkins was originally scheduled for arraignment on Monday, July 25; however is was re-scheduled for today at 8:30 a.m. in courtroom 1201 at the King County Courthouse in Seattle.

Ezekiel Watkins, a 22-year-old Renton man is scheduled for arraignment this morning.

Watkins was on Monday, July 25 at 9 a.m. at the Maleng Regional Justice Center in Kent; however, King County Press Secretary Dan Donohoe confirmed that Monday's arraignment for Watkins was re-scheduled to today, Tuesday, July 26 at 8:30 a.m. in courtroom 1201 at the King County Courthouse in Seattle.

King County Prosecutors filed a charged of Murder in the First Degree on July 11 against Watkins for the premeditated death of Kathy Min Chou of Renton.

At the time of her death, Chou was attending Lindbergh High School, and the case went unsolved for more than a year until a friend of Watkins provided the Renton Police department with a tip that untimely led to Watkins' confession to the murder.

Earlier this onto, Watkins' bail was set at $1 million and he now faces up to 27 years in prison if convicted.
