Driver Suffers Minor Injuries After Driving Over 20-Foot Embankment

This just in from Renton Fire & Emergency Services:

"Renton Fire & Emergency Services crews are on location at 71 SW Victoria for a car over an embankment.  The driver had minor injuries and needed assistance out of the car and up to the aid unit.  The car went down approximately 20 feet.  Ladder 11 performed a stokes rescue evolution to help the patient.  The patient will be transported to a local hospital as a precaution."

"Stokes rescue evolution" doesn't mean anything to me. Can you translate that?

A Stokes litter is the type of metal basket stretcher that is used often in rescue situations. In the pictures, the ladder boom of the fire engine is being used as a crane to lift out the stretcher.
