UPDATED: WSP Names Driver Killed In Rollover Accident On 405

The State Patrol is looking for witnesses to the early morning rollover accident of a tanker truck that killed the driver.

A 56-year-old Port Orchard man was killed early Wednesday morning when the tanker truck he was driving rolled over on a southbound on-ramp to Interstate 405 near Factoria, the Washington State Patrol reports.

The accident closed the on-ramp from Interstate 90 to I-405 for some three hours after the accident at about 3 a.m. The driver, Arville James Chappell, apears to have lost control on the curving on-ramp, rolling his Freightliner truck and hitting a cement median.

Trooper Cliff Pratt said the State Patrol is seeking witnesses who might help explain exactly what happened.

Crews from the Bellevue Fire Department responded with multple engines, a ladder truck and two aid cars, and Pratt said they had to cut the victim out of the wreckage of the overturned truck.
