Cause Of Renton Highlands Truck Fire Under Investigation

The driver was uninjured following a truck fire yesterday.

The cause of a car fire is still under investigation after the engine of a mid-1980s truck caught fire Wednesday, Nov. 2, in the Renton Highlands.

Renton Fire and Emergency Services's Engine 12 responded to the intersection of Duvall Ave. NE and NE Sunset Blvd. following a report of a vehicle on fire just before 10 a.m. When the engine crew arrived, they found flames coming from the engine compartment of the 20-plus-year-old Ford F-250. Firefighters extinguished the blaze using a hose line and the water carried on Engine 12.

The driver was able to exit the vehicle without sustaining any injuries, according to fire officials.
