Letter To The Editor: DTR Events Committee Thanks Community For Participation In "Olde" Fashion Halloween Party

Patch welcomes letters to the editor. Please submit letters via email to jenny.manning@patch.com and include your full name and city of residence.

The Downtown Events Committee would like to thank all of the little ghosts, angry birds, princesses and super heroes who celebrated with us at the Downtown “Olde” Fashion Halloween Party on Saturday, October 27!  It was a great crowd of over 500 people who played games, ate popcorn, drank hot cider, got their faces painted and visited businesses for trick or treating. The DTR Committee would like to especially thank Antique Country StationRenton Eagles and St. Charles Place for all of their support and participation. Special thanks goes to Renton Printery for all of the posters and maps. We had over 31 downtown businesses participating in the Trick or Treating. Thank you all for making it a great event!

Please join us on Saturday, December 1 starting at 3 p.m. for roasted chestnuts, hot drinks and caroling in Downtown along 3rd St before the tree lighting at 5 p.m. at the Piazza.  For more information on getting involved in Downtown, contact Amy at (425) 254-2038 or farnhama@FSBNW.com.  For more news and events in Renton, please check the Renton Chamber of Commerce web site at gorenton.com and the City’s site at rentonwa.gov.
