Let me start by thanking you for your article on my neighborhood. We appreciate the attention.
Though I couldn't disagree more about Vivien Mitchell's suggestion for a frozen yogert shop. The Baskin Robbin's she referenced is well established with a great location on the corner of the shopping center, and a mere 100 feet from the vacant spot referenced.
Though small the Fairwood area has so many and so many divergent shops, store and restaurants. I've always felt the two things it lacks that could keep nearly all my money in the local area is a movie theater, which could draw Maple Valley residents, and a clothing store of some kind. The little space next to Panda Express could be a fine location for a women's clothing boutique.
And I would LOVE to have a Panera Bread in Fairwood, as you mentioned. But obviously that site is too small. Perhaps the location of the old, now vacant, Shell gas station would do for a Panera Bread.
