Many of our readers may not know, but (World Association for Children and Parents) resides in the little one-story building on the corner of S. Second Street and Shattuck Avenue S. across from Renton High School, and it’s one of the largest and most experienced international nonprofit adoption and child assistance agencies in the United States.
And their headquarters is right here in downtown Renton!
They’ve placed more than 10,000 children with adoptive parents and provided food, medical care and education to more than 200,000 children around the world since the mid-1970s.
As a tribute to fathers, they’ve posted an awesome slideshow, "Faces of Father's Day" of adoptive dads with their kids. Click here to check it out, and then come back to Patch to post your own daddy-daughter, and father-son photos in honor of dad (just log into Patch and click the “upload photos and videos” button to the left).
