Equilibrium and Equanimity
What are you aligning to? Diligent practice and release from reward and punishment bring equilibrium and equanimity.
Patanjali’s Yoga Sutra 1.12: Stillness develops through diligent
practice (abhyasa) and non-identification (vairagya).

Diligent practice created strength in my legs, which in turn
helped the equilibrium of my body. Good humor, patience and curiosity released
me from reward and punishment, helping the equanimity of my soul.
These two, equilibrium of body and equanimity of soul are on
either side of my spiritual plumb line, aligning my heart and mind. Like the
trees, I am able to root down for stability, reaching up into the expanse of
potential.
