  • Where/When: Saturday and Sunday March 31-April 1, 11 a.m. at , 350 Monroe Ave. NE.
  • Why Go: The ceremonies will begin at 11:00 a.m. each day and will include a group performing the colorful lion dance – a symbolic, costumed dance to summon good fortune. It will also feature a blessing from Master Raymond Sy and chanting and prayers from Quan Am Temple congregation and monks and members from Co Lam Pagoda, both of which are Buddhist temples in Seattle. Ching Ming is an ancient festival dating back more than 2,500 years in which families tend to their burial properties and gravesites while burning incense and offering prayers and food to honor deceased loved ones.Β

Aunt Dottie's April Fool's Day Cabaret

  • Where/When: Renton Civic Theatre, 507 S. Third St., Sunday, April 1 at 7 p.m.
  • Why Go: This ain't your mama's cabaret! Nope, this raucous, rowdy, interactive show is different every time! Aunt Dottie and her Nephew Aaron have been bringing their unique brand of entertainment to audiences since 2008 and are pleased as punch to be donating a portion of the proceeds from this show to the Champions Foundation.
  • Cost: Adults $15/Students & Seniors $10

  • Why Go: Come on out and show your Seahawks spirit at the 2012 Seahawks 12K Run at The Landing. The run will start and finish at The Landing and run along the southeast shore of Lake Washington, offering participants a unique opportunity to run around the Seahawks training facility, the Virginia Mason Athletic Center. Take part in the ROOT Sports Seahawks Spirit Contest by wearing your favorite Seahawks paraphernalia or costume! Prizes will be awarded to 10 lucky winners.
