Initially Bev went to college to be an art teacher.  She changed her mind early on and decided to pursue a business degree and life marched on.  Bev would occasionally take a watercolor class/photography class to keep the creative side of her brain active.  After 20+ years in the outside sales industry ranging from computers to cable television, yellow pages and Living Social, she decided to take the plunge and open a business based on her first love - art!

She currently teaches anyone (no experience necessary; over 21) to be able to paint these paintings at .

Judy has enjoyed drawing and other artistic pursuits since she was a child.  Drawing classes in high school and college gave her a good foundation.  She started oil painting in 1974 – first attending classes at a local art store and then taking workshops from many different Northwest artists.

Her style is realistic and detailed and her medium is oil on nylon canvas.  She also works with colored pencils.  Judy strives to capture the magic of light and shadow and enjoys painting a variety of subjects from mountains, seascapes, gardens and florals to an occasional still life or building.  The inspiration for her paintings comes from the wonderful variety of nature in the Pacific Northwest.

Judy has taught workshops at various studious around Washington State and written five books for Scheewe Publications.  She has sold her paintings and prints mostly through shows in Washington State and occasionally in galleries.  Her work is included in collections throughout the United States as well as in England, Australia, & New Zealand.  Several of her paintings have
been represented on Leanin’ Tree cards.

“I dedicate my artwork to the Lord who gave me the talent and has blessed me by allowing me to make a living doing something I love.  I strive to thank Him by portraying the beauty and magnificence of His Creation.”
