You may have attended last year’s chalk art contest at Renton River Days and know what a great combination of artistry and fun it can be. This year, you and your children may want to sign up and try your hand at this creative project. Sponsored again by Allied Arts of Renton, it will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2013. Participation is free and all chalk art supplies are freely provided. Just show up at the tennis courts in Liberty Park in Renton. Sign up begins at noon and all drawings must be completed by 3PM.
Judging will then take place with awards being announced at 4PM. Cash prizes and gift certificates will be presented in several categories Professional, Adult (age 13 and up), and Junior (age 10 to 13). There will be 2 prizes for Barbara Nilson’s People’s choice in Adult and Jr. categories
