Bike to Work Day Rolls in to Renton on Friday

Organizers will host support stations around the Puget Sound region from 6 to 9 a.m.

Cascade Bicycle Club's annual Bike to Work Day is just a few days away, and organizers are gearing up for another big turnout.

In Renton, one commuter station will be open from 6 to 9 a.m. Friday: At the corner of Hardie Ave. SW and SW 7th St., sponsored by Seattle Bike Supply, with bike assistance offered by Center Cycle and Torker Cycles. Southcenter/Tukwila REI will also be hosting a commuter station (and offering assistance) at the intersection of the Green River Trail and Interurban Trail near Southcenter Mall (Click here for a map of all locations).

Most stations will offer free snacks, mechanical support and raffle prizes. Visit the Cascade Bicycle Club website for more details.

The City of Redmond will also host its second-annual Bike Bash from 4 to 7 p.m. behind city hall. Free food, live music and a beer garden will all be part of the festivities.
