Walking with a Purpose

Benson Hill/Cascade Community residents are invited to participate in a walking audit to help find ways to improve the safety and walkability of their community. This program is made possible through a Sustainable Communities Building Block Grant the city received this year.  The walking audit is designed to aid in the development of a plan to improve sidewalks, trails and street crossings, making them safer and more accessible and comfortable for people of all ages and ability levels.

There will be two opportunities to participate:

  • June 7 - 6 p.m. - 8 p.m.
  • June 8 - 8:30 a.m. - 11 a.m.

The Walking Audit will begin and end at 17060 116th ave Southeast in the Cascade Shopping Center.
