Learn about Salmon in Newcastle's May Creek

Participants make their own Salmon Scavenger Hunt Bracelet!


Meet at the Retention Pond Entrance to the May Creek Trail at 10:00 AM.  Parking is located on the May Valley Road, just north east of the Coal
Creek Parkway Bridge.  Cross the roads at the crosswalks, and walk to
the northwest side of the retention pond.


Activity and Hike along May Creek takes 2 to 3 hours.

The activity curriculum was created by Bill Matalinsky with Seattle

Public Utilities and was adapted by Grace Stiller for the May Creek Trail.



Discover the new section of the May Creek Trail, recently opened in September 2013.


Volunteers are needed at 9:00 AM to help set up. Students earn Community Service Hours.


Parents or Responsible Adult must accompany children under 16 years of age.  Dogs must be on leash.  Trail is not suitable for strollers.


Dress for the weather and wear sturdy walking shoes.
