Planting along the Cedar River

Saturday, October 19 ~ 10:00am-2:00pm
King County Parks Cavanaugh Pond Natural Area, Renton

Kick off planting season along the Cedar River with Friends of the Cedar River Watershed and King County Parks at Cavanaugh Pond Natural Area! Cavanaugh Pond Natural Area is home to bald eagles, salamanders, pileated woodpeckers, and noted for populations of spawning sockeye salmon. Volunteers will help ensure healthy habitat by planting native trees and shrubs this fall. This is a great event for families and volunteers of all ages.

Cedar River Salmon Journey naturalists will be onsite giving free interpretive presentations on the remarkable salmon of the Cedar River.
