MLK Day of Service - Planting at Cavanaugh Pond

Celebrate Martin Luther King Jr Day of Service along the Cedar!

Grab your friends and family and come out for planting season along the Cedar River with Friends of the Cedar River Watershed and King County Parks at Cavanaugh Pond Natural Area! Cavanaugh Pond Natural Area is home to bald eagles, salamanders, pileated woodpeckers, and noted for populations of spawning sockeye salmon. Volunteers will help ensure healthy habitat by planting hundreds of native trees and shrubs this winter. This is a great event for families and volunteers of all ages.
