The event also offers a 25’walk-in salmon, Ranger Rick, crafts, petting goats, and the Pacific Science Center's activities.  Both the Boeing Employee's Concert and the Hazen Jazz Band will perform.  Electric cars will be on display, and mini-seminars will be conducted throughout the day. The Hazen Booster Club will have veggie, flower and native landscaping plants for sale. Food trucks will be on site throughout the day.

“This year we've submitted a request to the National Wildlife Federation to Certify Newcastle as Community Wildlife Habitat. It's a community-wide project that will give Newcastle and residents an honorary national status,” said Stiller.  The program will launch at Newcastle Earth Day where attendees can come by the National Wildlife Federation booth, meet Ranger Rick, and register their yards as a Backyard Wildlife Habitat, which will help achieve the certification.
