Wind Advisory In Effect For Renton

In addition to windy conditions with gusts up to 45 mph throughout the Puget Sound urban corridor, the snow level is expected to drop to 400 feet Saturday.

The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory through 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, saying gusts of up to 45 mph are expected in the Puget Sound area, including Renton.

A wind advisory is issued whenever winds of 37 to 39 mph are expected or gusts 45 mph or greater. High winds could cause downed branches and localized power outages.

The Washington State Department of Transportation is expecting snow through Snoqualmie Pass tonight and through Saturday afternoon, and advises travelers that visibility could be very low. The NWS said snow levels could drop from 1,200 feet to 400 feet by Saturday evening.

In Renton, rain and snow are likely Sunday and Sunday evening, but accumulation is expected to be low, less than one inch.
