Renton Man Sustains Serious Injuries in Motorcycle Crash

A Renton man was taken to Harborview Medical Center after crashing on southbound I-5 Saturday night.

Sean Heien sustained serious injuries after the 22-year-old man failed to negotiate a curve while traveling at a high rate of speed just after 8:30 p.m., according to the Washington State Patrol. He reportedly struck the left-side barrier just north of the Mercer Street exit near milepost 166. 

The crash did not include any other vehicles. Heien was wearing a  helmet. It is unknown if drugs or alcohol played a part in the accident.
