It’s Thursday, and you’ve got no idea what you’ll be doing this weekend? Renton Patch is here to the rescue: 

  • Where/When: 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. Sat, May 28 at .
  • Why Go:KT n Hoops will be performing at the restaurant this Saturday evening. So come out and eat, drink, listen to live music and help support  a local non-profit that helps at risk youth in our community. 
  • Pricing: Prices vary, take a look at the Red House online menu.  A portion of the Red House sales will be donated the RAYS organization (Renton Area Youth & Family Services).

 

Sounders FC at The Pickled Onion Pub

  • Where/When: Game starts at 6 p.m. on Sat, May 28 at .
  • Why Go: The Sounders take on Real Salt Lake this Saturday and The Islander is probably your best bet to catch the game locally. It's also the only real authentic English soccer pub around, so you're bound to find some fellow soccer (or football) fans. There are drink specials available all day too which will come in handy for the round of drinks you'll buy to celebrate another Sounders win. Go Sounders!
  • Cost: No cover. Visit the Pickled Onion's website information on drink specials and to take a look at their menu.

 

Miss Washington's Outstanding Teen Pageant

  • Where/When: Saturday, May 28 at 7 p.m. & Sunday, May 29 at 7 p.m. at the IKEA Performing Arts Center
  • Why Go: Prelims are Saturday, and finals are Sunday. Presented in partnership with Brad Brotherton Cadillac Buick GMC.
  • Pricing: $25 on Saturday and $35 on Sunday.

 

  • Where/When: 11 a.m. - 10 p.m. Friday through Monday at Seattle Center.
  • Why Go: Renton's own Northern Departure will perform on Sunday. Calling all folk music fans: this event is one of the largest free folk festivals in the country and it's all going down this Memorial Day weekend at Seattle Center. The annual Northwest Folklife Festival will feature over 7,000 diverse performers, participatory dances, workshops, crafts, food and much more. 
  • Pricing: Admission into the festival is free, but donations are encouraged.

 

  • Where/When: 12:30 p.m. - 11 p.m. Sat, May 28 at the Freighthouse Square in Tacoma.
  • Why Go: For any Jazz or Blues fans out there, this event is huge. The festival will have three separate stages with a plethora of northwest jazz and blues musicians performing all day long. Local muscian's Jerry Miller and Rich Wetzel’s Groovin Higher Jazz Orchestra will highlight what's sure to be an amazing day for Jazz and Blues in the Northwest.
