Less than one month after Torero's Family Mexican Restaurant closed at its location on Rainier Avenue S., owners are ready to reopen at their new location at The Landing this week.

The Renton Reporter reports the date is set for Friday, June 28. Owner Veronica Rodriguez Medina had considered an offer to stay on the present property though at a different location, but the draw of The Landing won out.

STAR 101.5's Jill Taylor will be at the grand opening from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The event kicks off at 5 p.m. with Mayor Denis Law presiding over the ribbon cutting ceremony. According to Friends of Renton Schools, Torero's is offering a 25 percent discount that day only with proceeds benefitting the school support organization.

Torero's has three locations in Renton - also at North Benson Shopping Center and the Highlands - with additional restaurants in Bellevue and Federal Way.
