To celebrate the little-known 'holiday,' the the Taco Time Traveler truck will tour the Puget Sound area, making stops along the way to hand out free tacos. The truck plans to stop in the company's hometown, Renton, from approximately 3:45 to 4:15 p.m. at Gene Coulon Memorial Park.

The celebration is all part of the company's year-long celebration of its 50th anniversary, according to spokesperson Jessica Dawson.

Taco Time Northwest is a family-run business headquartered in Renton and was originally founded by Frank Tonkin Sr. in 1962. Since then, the restaurant has grown to include 73 restaurants in the Puget Sound region and takes pride in using fresh, local ingredients.
