Seahawks 12K: Race is Sunday

Runners can still register at the Landing on Saturday from 9am-1pm, and on Sunday before the race from 7:30-8:45am.

If you’re heading to The Landing this morning for the , make sure to wander over to the Renton Patch table and say hello. Patch Regional Editor Mike Lewis, contributor  and Editor Jenny Manning will be on hand.

Manning will also run the 12K, so look for Patch on the course!

Join Seahawks mascot Blitz, the Sea Gals, the Seahawks dance team, Seahawks drum line and thousands of runners at The Landing on Sunday for a fast and flat 5K run along Cedar River, or 12K to the Seahawks' Training Facility. Both races start and end at The Landing. Stick around for the kid's run and activities. The non-competitive race is a fundraiser for the .

What to expect on race day: Sunday, April 10, 2011:

  • 7:30 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. - registration
  • 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. - race packet pick up
  • 9 a.m. - start of the Seahawks 12K Run and the Valley Medical Center 5K run/walk
  • 10 a.m. - awards presentation featuring Renton Mayor Denis Law
  • 10:30 a.m. - start of the Seahawks Play 60 Kids Run for kids 10 & under
  • 9 a.m. - 1 a.m. - kid’s zone activities including bounce houses

Runners can pick up registration packets and register for the event on Saturday from 9 a.m.-1p.m. at The Landing’s community room located near Panda Express, on the corner of N. Park Avenue and N. 10th Street.
