Restaurant at Tacoma Narrows Airport Closes

Reflections at the Airport ended its 15-month tenure at Tacoma Narrows Airport near Gig Harbor this week.

Over the last 50 years, the Tacoma Narrows Airport has seen its share of restaurants come and go, with Reflections at the Airport the latest casualty.

The restaurant's general manager, Tim Bruhn, told the Tacoma News Tribune that the location could have been Reflections' undoing. Situated on a one-way street, and invisibile from main arterials made the business dependent on traffic at the airport, which handles private and corporate flights.

The restaurant space is owned by Pierce County and the landlords will be looking for a new restaurant tenant soon.

What kind of restaurant do you think would be successful enough to stick around at the Tacoma Narrows Airport? Tell us in the comments.

I like the breakfast and lunch concept. Would help if they had some signage allowed at the intersection leading to the airport. We forget they exist!

The Inn at Gig Harbor has great breakfast, and lunch and dinner too.

I didn't know there was a restaurant there and I've lived here 8 years. Advertising... we can't come eat if we don't know you exist.

It was inconsistent food, small portions and high prices. For the airport to thrive, however- whoever steps in must up their game- create a 'destination' airport to increase profit for all. There was a sign at the end of the road but it didn't stand out- thus why no one saw it. I agree- breakfast and lunch, a good marketing team, and possible small venue for evening events (i.e. gala auction, etc.). And lose the bar- waste of space. My two cents!
