Obama's State Of The Union Address Is Tuesday Night, Where Will You Be Watching?

Area Democrats and supporters of President Barack Obama's re-election are planning gatherings to watch this year's State of the Union Address, which will be broadcast at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24.

Area Democrats and supporters of President Barack Obama's reelection are planning gatherings to watch this year's State of the Union Address, which will be broadcast at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24.

Many viewing parties will take place around the Puget Sound Tuesday night, including one in Renton.

Carl de Jong will host the King County Democrats' State of the Union Viewing at the Carpenter’s Hall, located at 231 Burnett N Ave.

The State of the Union Address by President Obama will start at 6 p.m. Doors to the Carpenter’s Hall will open at 5:45 p.m.

The King County Democrats encourage people to come early and watch before the group’s regular meeting. Food — specifically Jim's Texas Style Chili — will be provided by Jim Flynn. Donations will be accepted to cover the cost of food.
