That is so awesome! Now Renton just needs a Trader Joe's and I will never need to shop anywhere else!

This is wonderful news! Renton deserves some of these types of stores, without having to battle the traffic to go to Southcenter! I keep hoping for a Trader Joe's, too. I hate having to drive to Issaquah to get my goodies!

Not so fast. That could end up being a Bed, Bath, & Beyond http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2012-05-09/bed-bath-beyond-to-buy-cost-plus-for-495-million.html

I actually mentioned to the mayor, when trader Joe's anounced that they were looking to make a new location that he should offer them an incentive of some sort to put one in Renton. He said that wasnt important enough to waste time on. Sure enough Burien of all places offered them a deal, and they made one there. The exact same thing happened when I mentioned to him that he should do the same thing for Dick's when they put out the call for citied to invite them in. Edmonds stepped up to the plate, and they made a new location right down the road from an existing one for no other good reason.

I agree, too. Right now, we have VERY limited grocery choices in Renton, especially since Thriftway left.
