UPDATED: Renton Retailers Offer Deals For Small Business Saturday & Beyond

The holiday shopping season kicks off in a big way this week as Renton retailers prepare for Black Friday and Small Business Saturday.

That fabled day after Thanksgiving is one of the biggest sales days of the year for many big box stores — Let's make it the same for Renton's small businesses, too!

To help you, the consumer, and our neighbors who own small businesses, Patch has compiled a list of specials offered by local business owners. Keep checkin back, we'll update this list as we learn about more offers!

Renton retailers offering Black Friday & Small Business Saturday deals:

• Old Renton Book Exchange will open at 10 a.m. (on hour early) on Black Friday and on Small Business Saturday. Be sure to stop by for their Nov. 24 bake sale starting at 11 a.m.
• McLendon Hardware will open at 7 a.m. on Black Friday. The first 400 customers will receive a Christmas stocking filled with goodies and coupons. Half-off tree decorations and ornaments Nov. 22-26.
• Antique Country Station offering up to 30% off most items on Small Business Saturday.
• Cedar River Cellars With any purchase of 2 bottles or more draw for a chance to take off 10%, 15% of even 30% on Small Business Saturday (Cash or Check only, please).
• g.h.y. bikes will be taking part in small business Saturday and offering a 15% discount on all in stock merchandise! also check out their great prices on 2012 closeout bikes.
• Sharon's Shear Delight is offering buy one get one 50 % off on all their hair care products on Small Business Saturday from 9 a.m.-6 p.m.
• Little Quadoo Consignment  $5 off for every $20 spent on Black Friday; 20% off your entire purchase on Small Business Saturday.
• The Balanced Athlete will offer a daily deal on its social media accounts through Christmas. Be sure to check their Facebook page, Google+ account and Pinterest site!
